Can I Use a Promo Code With DashPass?

The promo code goes first. It reduces the subtotal. Because the service fee is calculated as a percentage of the subtotal, the code also slightly reduces the service fee as a side effect — the only indirect way a code touches fees. DashPass applies to the fees. The delivery fee is waived entirely above the subtotal minimum, and the service fee is reduced. Taxes, small-order fees and any regional regulatory fee are untouched by both. The minimum matters on both sides independently. Your subtotal has to clear the promo code's minimum for the code to apply, and separately clear the DashPass minimum — typically $12 for restaurants, $25 to $35 for grocery — for the fee waiver to apply. A $10 order can fail both. A subtle interaction worth knowing. If the promo code reduces your subtotal below the DashPass minimum, the fee waiver can drop off. A $14 order with a $5 code has a $9 discounted subtotal, and some implementations test the waiver against the post-discount figure. Building a couple of dollars of headroom avoids this entirely. Member-only offers are separate again. DashPass members receive their own promotional offers — member challenges, the monthly grocery credit, seasonal member campaigns. Those are ordinary promotions and do occupy the promo slot.
