Where to Enter a DoorDash Promo Code
The DoorDash promo code field is in a different place on each surface, which is why so many people conclude it does not exist. On mobile it is inside the checkout screen below the payment method. On desktop it is in the order summary panel on the right. It is never on the storefront page or in your account settings.
There is also a legitimate reason it might genuinely not be there: if an offer has already been auto-applied to your order, DoorDash hides the field because the single order-level promotion slot is occupied.

How to find the promo code field
On iPhone or Android
Cart → Continue to checkout → scroll below the payment method. The promotions row sits between payment and the order total.
It may already show an applied offer's name instead of an empty field.
On desktop
The right-hand order summary panel, above the subtotal line. Click it to reveal the text input.
If you cannot see it at all
An offer has auto-applied and taken the slot. Tap the applied promotion and remove it to free the field.
In a group order
Only the group order creator has the field. Participants cannot apply promotions to a shared cart.

About the DoorDash promo code field
iOS and Android. Add items, tap the cart, then continue to the checkout screen. Scroll past the delivery address and the payment method — the promotions row sits below them, usually labelled "Add promo code" or showing a promotion name if one is already applied. Tapping it opens a text field and a list of any offers already available to your account.
Desktop web. The order summary panel on the right of the checkout page contains a promotions row in the same position relative to the totals. The behaviour is identical; only the layout differs.
Group orders. Only the person who created the group order can apply a promotion, and the field appears only for them. Participants adding items will not see it at all.
When the field is hidden. If a storefront offer or an account-level promotion has auto-applied, the slot is taken and the field is replaced by the applied promotion's name. To type a different code you have to remove the applied one first, which is done by tapping it and choosing to remove.
Scheduled orders. The field appears at the point the order is confirmed rather than when the delivery window is chosen. Promotions are evaluated against the time the order is placed, not the delivery slot.

No. There is no account-level code entry. Promotions are applied per order at checkout. Gift cards are the exception — those are redeemed in Account → Gift Cards and load as account balance.
Only the group order creator sees it. Participants adding items to a shared cart cannot apply a promotion.
No. Codes work in any case. Trailing whitespace, however, will cause a rejection that looks like an invalid code.
