How-to
There is no way to validate a DoorDash promo code without putting it into a cart. DoorDash checks a code against your account, your delivery address and the store you selected — none of which any external site can see, which is why no third-party checker can be authoritative.
The good news is that testing is free and reversible. Building a minimal cart, applying the code and reading the response takes under a minute and commits you to nothing.

One or two items from the merchant you intend to order from. You are testing scope and eligibility, not the subtotal yet.
The exact wording distinguishes invalid from expired from not eligible, and each has a different fix.
A message telling you to spend more means scope and eligibility both passed. Add items and re-apply.
Acceptance without a discount line means the code applied at zero value — a cart problem, not a code problem.
New-customer eligibility is re-verified at placement. A discount that vanishes there failed the account match.
Nothing is charged and no penalty applies. The cart can simply be left.
Background
The response you get is diagnostic if you read it precisely. DoorDash uses distinct wording for distinct failures, and the difference matters: invalid means the string is unrecognised, expired means it existed and the window closed, not eligible means it is live but your account does not qualify, and not valid at this location means the selected store is not participating.
A fifth outcome is the one people miss: the code is accepted and no discount appears. That is not a failure of the code but of the cart — the qualifying item is missing, out of stock, or was added from the wrong menu section.
Testing on a small cart first is the right technique because the minimum-subtotal check runs at the moment you apply. If the cart is below the minimum you will get a message naming the threshold, which itself tells you the code is live and you are eligible — useful information even though it did not apply.
For new-customer codes, a successful test at checkout is not conclusive. The eligibility re-check runs at order placement, so a welcome code can pass the entry check and be removed when you actually pay. There is no way to test that step short of placing the order.
One practical caution: repeatedly applying codes that fail does not penalise your account, but DoorDash does rate-limit promo attempts in some cases. If you are working through a list, spacing out attempts avoids a temporary block.
If nothing here fits your basket, the full DoorDash promo index is the place to look next.
Questions
The questions people actually ask, answered with the mechanism rather than a guess.
Still stuck? The troubleshooting guide is organised by the exact error DoorDash shows you.
No reliable external one, because validation depends on your account, your delivery address and the selected store — information no third party has. Applying the code at checkout is the only definitive test.
No, though DoorDash rate-limits repeated promo attempts in some cases. If you are working through a list, spacing attempts out avoids a temporary block.
It means the code is live and your account is eligible — it failed only on cart value. Add items until you clear the stated threshold and re-apply.
Only partially. Scope checks run against the selected store, so a code can pass at one merchant and fail at another. Test at the store you actually intend to order from.
